New Stuff!

Well, the last time I updated this, it was summer. Now there is a foot and a half of snow outside my window, here in the great white north. I tell ya, sometimes linear time sucks. Ahh, well.
I don't have anything new to show you today on this page, but I have a sehr cool Ben Reilly page! Check it out now!

What Ben Reilly page, you ask? Why, this one! If you haven't seen it, check it out!

You like my background? Actually, I made up this background myself (thank you, thank you very much), and so I am guilt free in that area. I think that this starry background suits the page nicely. My page is a little bit like the universe itself; most of it is empty and meaningless, but it has a bit of everything in it.

My Links

I have a confession to make. I know you will not think less of me, beacause you probably already suspect I'm a blithering idiot! Anyway, I confess that I read comics, and I watch cartoons! I like them! Sure it's immature, but I don't care!

Anyway, here are a bunch of links to comic/cartoon based web pages. Enjoy exploring!

The Tick is a lesser-known, but extremely popular, super-hero created by Ben Edlund. His comic and television adventures parodize the larger-than-life (much larger) style of crime fighting chronicled in the comics of old, before all the comics devoted themselves to exposing the "darker, more cutting-edge" side of their heroes. I personally believe that his second season opener, "Little Wooden Boy and the Belly of Love" is the greatest half hour of animated television this decade has put out. Geez, I sound like a comercial! Anyway, here are some great sites :

For mass "Tickishness", try The TICK page!

Sometimes ya just gotta yell SPOON!

For info on Ben Edlund's original comics, try The Tick.

This is mostly a grab bag of sites that I like, and hope you do, too.

Quotes

"I defy you to find anything inherently grim and gritty about a man who soars through the air like an eagle. There is nothing harsh, nothing fierce, about that sort of grace and lyricism."
- Mark Waid (DC Comics)

"They thus become part of the armies of the night, the purveyors of nitwittery, the retailers of intellectual junk food, the feeders on mental cardboard, for their ignorance keeps them from distinguishing nectar from sewage."
- Isaac Asimov

"I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone."
- Bill Cosby

Disclaimer: No animals were harmed (badly) in the production of this page, except for the one, but he deserved it. The pictures on this page were not created by me, nor were the characters they feature (except for my Oddball GIF up at the top and the pic of me and Cliff, the remarkable chicken. I also made the space background pic, but I don't count that one since there's no characters visible in there). The pics were downloaded from very nice folks whose pages I (hopefully) made links to. Any resemblance between any persons living or dead and the pictures on this page is purely coincidental, and if you look like my logo up at the top, I laugh at you. Ha ha. If I made an idiot of myself in any way (not unusual), please e-mail me, and we'll straighten it all out, 'kay? If you actually read this disclaimer through, then you are either Screwball proof-reading for me or a complete weirdo. If you are Screwball editing this page for me, you are a complete weirdo, too. I think that this diclaimer has become too long. Maybe I'll stop now.
