MAIN SUBJECT INDEX OF THIS WEB PAGE:

This page leads to an interesting paper which Explains The Striking Simularities Between DNA and Light Waves. Key Words = DNA, Light, Helical Light Waves, Circular Light Waves. The paper called "The Life Spectrum Hypothesis" indicates that DNA and Circular Light Waves can have exactly the same geometry and can both carry encoded information in the same manner. The report indicates that, due to these simularities, it is possible that DNA and light may be connected in a physical manner.

GREETINGS TERRA-SURFERS: From...

This Page Is Under Development

Hi, my name is Greg Hatton and welcome to my page on the information superhighway. I live in Vancouver Canada and work/study as a Technologist. In the evenings I take classes in Technology Management at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In my spare time I enjoy touring around Vancouver, riding my Mountain Bike, nature hiking, roller-blading, surfing on the net, meeting people, writing and working on product development ideas. Read through this page and try out some of these interesting links - you won't be disappointed!

Technological Interests

I am highly involved with issues regarding Advanced Technology. Some of the areas which are of most interest for me are as follows:

Astronomy

I brought my 6 inch, Newtonian Reflector Telescope home a few summers ago. It was in storage for years so had cobwebs etcetera in it. I took it all apart and cleaned it. This was very nice since it was more than ready to view the comet Hyakutake in March of 1996. Not a bad piece of tail! I haven't had much time to go up to the mountains around Vancouver to view the Final Frontier recently but I certainly will sometime soon. Hey, maybe I'll find one of those doomsday asteroids which are coming our way!

Molecular Nanotechnology

This is an emerging technology which may open the door to the creation of replicators not unlike those dreamed about in Star Trek®. I had the opportunity to attend the 4th Foresight Conference on Molecular Nanotechnology in the fall of 1995 in Palo Alto, California. It looks as though science is some 20 years away from any breakthroughs - but what is 20 years? Check out the nanotech site - the potential implications are very interesting!

NASA

Rockets and the space sciences have always been a major interest for me. NASA has continued to provide a great deal of research for generations to come. Of course, Apollo 13 was the best adventure thus far.

Star Trek type technology is a very possible outcome to the research and development that NASA is conducting. Perhaps in a hundred years or so, we will be there. The realization of a ship such as the Enterprise is a valid goal.

Technical Papers

I have written a few interesting papers of which a couple are now published here. I'll hopefully get the others up before the next millenium! These papers are as follows:

Thanks For Stopping In

Thanks For Cruising In. Stop by again some time since I will be updating this page at least bi-annually. If you wish to contact me, that would be great. You may do so by email:
