Troon Marr College

As Webmaster, I take this opportunity on the 1st Anniversary of The Troon Page to express my personal thanks to Moira (Henry) Miller and Jeanie (Harrison) Cain without whose participation and dedication, the Troon Project would never have got off the ground.

On July 12th, 1999, calling ourselves the Trio Frae Troon, we commenced an effort to find Troon people on the Internet. Today's membership, in excess of 350, illustrates the success of the venture. Without the combined efforts of the Trio, there would today be no Troon register, no jotter and no photos, and many events and reunions of friends and families over the past 12 months would not have occurred.

I also express thanks to Louise Eakin and Sandra (Howie) Ericson for assisting with the publishing during the final 4 months of the year; to Bob Borland and a number of others in Troon who have worked hard to promote the project; and to Alistair Mulhearn, Billy Forrest and others for contributing the wonderful photos which have given so much pleasure to our overseas members.
