Experience in POS/debit card terminals for Bank of Montreal, CIBC and Shell Canada. Serviced AST Computers. Worked semi-autonomously providing service to mid and upper Fraser Valley in British Columbia, Canada.

Founder and General Manager of Continental Industrias Gráficas, Temuco, Chile. Established a full-service Printing facility. Purchased, installed and reconditioned all equipment. Trained and supervised production personnel in offset and letterpress printing and all pre-press and finishing operations. Estimated job costs, purchased materials, established quality-control standards. Developed computerised tracking and control programs.

Publications Manager, Province of British Columbia, Government Information Services. Responsible for the complete development of B.C. Government publications including project planning, cost estimating, contracting and supervising writers, editors, photographers, artists, printers and distribution. Editor of CONTACT with 35,000 circulation. Initiated early word-processor/photo typesetting interface before Desk Top Publishing was even thought of. Implemented many production cost reductions in publications.

Information Officer, Ministry of Forests, Province of British Columbia. Established Regional Information Service for the ministry in Kamloops, B.C. including media relations, staff and public newsletters. Organised and co-ordinated Public Involvement Committees and defused and created positive results from a confrontation initiated by a local environmental activist group.

August 1978 - August 1979:

Information Director, Drinking Driving CounterAttack, a joint program of the Ministry of the Attorney General, Province of British Columbia and the Insurance Corporation of BC (ICBC). Responsible for the planning and production of public information for the program including media relations and special events. Was responsible for creating and implementing a plan which resulted in the voluntary participation of all B.C. banks and financial institutions in advancing the program. This marked the first time the entire industry ever endorsed any program which was not directly reflected in their operations.
