This site is dedicated to the memories of Dr. Paul E. Lavoie of San Francisco and Ronald S. Ferris of Calgary. In 1992 Ron introduced me to Dr. Lavoie at the International Northwestern Conference on Diseases in Nature Communicable to Man.

Dr. Lavoie treated us for Chronic Lyme Borreliosis until his untimely passing. Ron was a contributor to Lyme Research; to the Lyme Borreliosis Society of BC. Both of these gentlemen inspired me to continue their efforts in the fight against Lyme Disease. These pages reflect the necessity of physicians, patients and scientists to work together and learn from each other.

We started this site to have a little fun, it doesn't matter how sick a person is, we all have to do something every day to make ourselves feel good. Secondly, with 30 plus years experience between us we decided to create awareness and help others to better understand this opportunistic disease. Lastly, we hope to see more research into this insidious disease so that we and our Doctors can have a better understanding of it.

When I became ill in the 80's my dog and several other persons also became ill with a Lyme-like illness. In the 90's the disease seemed to abate, some of the following pages are a speculation on how this might have happened.
